When seemingly solvable problems keep hanging around, there’s a simple solution: Get the right pair of eyes on the problem.

That’s why follow-up is critical. The problem is reported to someone who does not know how to solve it, so it gets pushed to the back burner…and that’s where it stays.

Keep pushing, so that the easiest thing to do becomes for that organization to figure out who has the knowledge and skills to fix it. When the right pair of eyes lands on a problem, the problem tends to go away.
