Feeling buried in email? Your inbox was never meant to be a to-do list.
Gmail has built-in tools that help you clear the clutter fast. In my latest post, I walk through four simple workflows using Google Calendar, Tasks, and Keep to get your inbox down to zero. No new apps. No complicated systems. Just tools you already have, finally working together.
Personally, I use Gmail along with Google Calendar, Remember The Milk, and Evernote (for appointments, tasks, and information, respectively). My aim in this week’s content is to give the person who has nothing other than a free Google account a way and a strategy for getting email to empty every day and have nothing fall through the cracks.

Evernote Inline Toolbar
This one is pretty significant.
Highlight some text in Evernote. The new "Inline Toolbar" appears.
From this inline toolbar, you can make the text bold, italic, add bullets, etc. In other words, the Inline Toolbar allows for all the normal editing functions you would find in the menu at the top of the note.
Here's my favorite part: See the last icon, the purplish circle with the pencil inside? With your text still highlighted, click that icon and explore the AI capabilities. It will be worth your time to set aside a half-hour block to experiment with each selection.
Different people will find different selections useful, so the best use of your time will be to work through the whole set and make notes on which ones are going to save you time.
Here’s something you might overlook: You have full control over what displays on the toolbat and what is hidden and only seen when clicking the three-dot menu. Star the items you want in the toolbar. Unstar the items you don’t
The Inline Toolbar is included in every Evernote plan, even the free version. The AI capabilities are also included with the free plan.
Think about the time saved by being able to perform AI functions within the Evernote note. Instead of copying and pasting the note into ChatGPT, running a prompt, and copying the results back into Evernote, the whole process stays in one place.

AI Has Come to Evernote Mobile
AI Assistant is now available on the mobile app, including AI Prompts and AI Memory. Ask questions about your notes, generate content, research ideas, and get more done without waiting until you're back at your computer.
💡 To change the position of the AI Assistant button, go to Settings → AI Features → AI Assistant on the mobile app.
