Bring Back Joy to Reading

August is the month when we turn our attention to going back to school. During this month, I’ll bring you content that relates to that theme. In several cases, we'll be revisiting content from the past that I think is worth a second look. We start with one of my favorites.

I think we all agree that reading success is the key to much future success. So, we're going to kick off this month by bringing you this interview with Dr. Danny Brassell. His theme is bringing back the joy to reading.

Do you need to send a personalized email to multiple recipients? You need the same basic content, but you want to insert their name or certain information that will be unique to them. Mail Merge is the answer.

If you use Gmail, this video demonstrates a free add-on that allows you to send a mail merge of up to several hundred a day. There is no charge for the add-on or for sending the emails.

My own digital treasure chest includes a different mail merge called "Yet Another Mail Merge" (or YAMM). It includes a free option that allows you to send (I think) 20 emails per day. I pay $36 a year and can send several hundred per day.

YAMM allows me to see who has opened my emails along with the exact date and time they opened them. Here is a video that shows how YAMM works.
